Plainfield Picnic and Celebration Set for Friday
The Plainfield Police Department would like to remind all residents and visitors that the 2009 Patriotic Picnic and Fireworks Show will be taking place Friday at Plainfield Central High School. It all begins at 2 PM with a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the staff parking lot. The picnic will run from 4:30 to 9 PM, with fireworks scheduled for around 9:15 PM. Roadways in and around Plainfield Central High School, especially Fort Beggs Drive and James-River Roads, will be heavily congested. Also, Fort Beggs will be closed from 8:30 PM until about 30 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks show.
