Stabbing Death over Weekend at Near Spanish-American Club
A 22 year old Joliet man was stabbed to death over the weekend. Alfreda Preciado-Ortega was found lying down in the parkway across from the Spanish American Club at 413 Meeker at around 2:42 AM Sunday morning. He had been denied entrance to the club numerous times during the course of the evening, because he had been previously banned from the club for allegedly trying to rob some of the patrons. Police say there are no witnesses, and that Preciado-Ortega had been stabbed 23 times. He had been a resident of 503 Scribner Street.
